Domestic Electrical Course

Our Domestic Electrical Course is a three week comprehensive blended learning programme.
You will be guided from complete beginner to a level of understanding which is comparable to many domestic electrical installation engineers who already enjoy the benefits of working within the electrical industry.

The course is specifically designed for people with no prior electrical experience, its aim is to provide you with the theoretical understanding and practical skills required to work in a safe and responsible manner within the domestic electrical installation industry.

As well as the home study, you will be spending three weeks training at our training centre to complete the practical training, assessments and exams. You will have up to two years to complete your programme.

Programme Details
The Domestic Electrical Course takes the blended learning approach to your development. This is a mix of theory that you study at home in your own time, and practical hands-on training, that you will complete at our training centre. The course is delivered in this way so that you are in complete control of the speed in which you study and complete the course. You can complete the theory at home when you have time, maybe in the evenings or at weekends, and you can take some time off work to fit in the practical training sessions.

The practical sessions are broken down into a number of week long blocks. During the practical sessions you will put into practice what you have been studying in the theory modules and actually see the end result of your hard work. During the course you will learn a wide variety of things, anything from using various tools to rewiring a house and, ultimately, you will be given all the skills you need to work successfully in the industry.

Modules Include:

  • Applicable Building Regulations for Domestic Electrical Installation.
